The Covid-19 pandemic has left many of us isolated and trapped at home. Sadly, the feeling of being alone and forgotten is the everyday reality for our homebound elderly neighbors – whether there’s a pandemic or not. With our army of compassionate volunteers, we can remind those we serve that someone still cares.
From delivering meals to vital wellness checks, Citymeals offers volunteer opportunities to suit all types of schedules and interests. We have established a network of caring individual, corporate and community volunteers who ensure frail aged New Yorkers receive a continuous lifeline of nourishment and companionship.
Over the course of 2020, Citymeals was fortunate to work with 19,865 volunteers.
