The Covid-19 pandemic left many of us isolated and trapped at home. Unfortunately, feeling alone and forgotten is still the everyday reality for our homebound elderly neighbors. With our army of compassionate volunteers, we can remind those we serve that someone still cares.
From delivering meals to vital wellness checks, Citymeals offers volunteer opportunities to suit all types of schedules and interests. We have established a network of caring individual, corporate and community volunteers who ensure frail aged New Yorkers receive a continuous lifeline of nourishment and companionship.
Last year, nearly 19,000 volunteers gave more than 52,000 hours of time to Citymeals’ mission.
