Thousands of older New Yorkers would be alone and hungry without Citymeals and our team of dedicated volunteers. Meal recipients look forward to our knock on the door, knowing a nourishing meal and a warm greeting awaits them.
From delivering meals to providing companionship and making handmade cards, there are many ways to get involved. We have established a network of caring individual, corporate and community volunteers who ensure older New Yorkers in need receive a continuous lifeline of nourishment and companionship.
Last year, nearly 14,000 volunteers gave almost 50,000 hours of their time to Citymeals’ mission.
