We are able to promise that 100% of your donation will be used for the preparation and delivery of meals, thanks to our partnership with the City of New York, Citymeals board members and certain designated grants for administrative expenses.
Support CitymealsIn 1986, Citymeals Founder Gael Greene and then-Board Member Joan Weill conceived the Power Lunch for Women — our biggest fundraising event of the year — as a spoof on the concept of the men's power breakfast.
Decades later, we're still bringing together friends — old and new — to join us in the fight to end elder hunger. Over the years, Power Lunch has raised more than $32 million in support of Citymeals' mission.
This 36th Annual Power Lunch honored longtime supporter Barbara Tober, volunteer Joe Holder and corporate partner Standard Industries. This year's event raised enough to prepare and deliver more than 150,000 meals for homebound elderly New Yorkers. Read the press release and see media coverage and photos from the event.
