Location: Midtown Manhattan (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office)
Salary: $$65,000-$75,000 + discretionary annual bonus

About the Role

Citymeals on Wheels is currently seeking a Manager of Volunteer Engagement to assist with the development and implementation of volunteer engagement strategies. The Manager will plan and deliver volunteer engagement experiences, working closely with the volunteer and program team and partner providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance programs, plans, and procedures to support volunteer recruitment and retention, including helping to create a volunteer journey.
• Conduct volunteer orientations as needed.
• Develop and maintain contacts with others in the sector to create new opportunities as well as collaborate when possible. 
• Attend volunteer trainings and utilize outside sources to bring information and education to your team and incorporate learning into opportunities. 
• Organize and participate in volunteer recognition programs and special events. 
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with partner providers and older adult centers to ensure continuing volunteer opportunities.

Qualifications

• A combination of education and experience in nonprofit volunteer management with a minimum of 3 years’ experience. 
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities and tasks and work cohesively with team members.
• Diligence in managing competing priorities.
• Comfortable participating in media opportunities to promote the organization's mission and initiatives.
• Contribute to special projects within the volunteer department, as well as organizational initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Raiser’s Edge, Volunteer Hub, and Monday.com management.
• Ability to work independently.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Occasional weekends as needed
