Holidays can be especially difficult for many of our meal recipients who live alone and are isolated. When older adult centers must close, Citymeals provides festive home-delivered holiday meals, reminding our older neighbors they haven’t been forgotten. Citymeals also hosts special celebrations at older adult centers for those who are able to leave their homes.
Last year, our staff and volunteers provided over 39,000 meals for Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year’s Day, Lunar New Year and other special occasions.
