Job Summary

Citymeals on Wheels provides a continuous lifeline of nourishing meals and vital companionship to homebound elderly New Yorkers in need, helping them to live with dignity in their own familiar homes and communities. The Events & Partnerships Senior Associate helps to support this mission by working with team members to successfully execute fundraising events and partnerships with budgeted revenue goals in excess of $4M each year. This includes the planning and implementation of events and partnerships with corporate, retail, real estate and restaurant partners to increase awareness, support and funds for Citymeals’ programs.


  • Assist with the coordination of management and execution of Citymeals' annual signature events: Sunday Supper at DANIEL, Chefs’ Tribute and Power Lunch for Women
  • Participate in the planning and execution of events including identifying event dates, locations, participants and formats
  • Coordinate the annual Dineout program, as well as 1 to 2 smaller-scale events and partner promotions/campaigns every month
  • Work with full team in soliciting high-profile chefs, prospective corporate, food & beverage industry donors for financial support, and pro bono donations for gift bags and auctions. Solicit potential event sponsors, as needed, and maintain relationships
  • Communicate with high-level donors, event co-chairs, honorees, sponsors, trustees and other VIPs
  • Manage event auctions including digital bidding platform, OneCause
  • Identify and implement new fundraising opportunities
  • Act as liaison for the Young Professionals and Friends of Citymeals committees
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications, Major Gifts, Volunteer & Programs departments

Skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus five years of similar experience in event production and fundraising at nonprofit organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Raiser’s Edge and InDesign
