In 1981, when Gael Greene first read about the city’s homebound elderly facing hunger over the upcoming holiday weekend, she realized something had to be done. Today – 40 years and 65 million meals later – that imperative lies at the heart of Citymeals on Wheels. And, thanks to your support, we’ve grown into the largest nonprofit meals on wheels program in the country.

So, whether you make a generous contribution, donate your time as a volunteer or write a warm note, know you are helping to make a tremendous difference in the lives of nearly 20,000 of your most vulnerable neighbors.
