Volunteer Viewpoint: Azriel Johnson

Azriel has been volunteering with us since August 2006. He delivers meals to our homebound elderly from our Mid-town West Senior center-Encore. He has a passion for helping the elderly as he looks to them to teach him about their history. He loves to travel and spending time with the elderly gives him the opportunity to learn more about the world, and especially New York City.

Azriel says that he feels so much better about himself because of the time he has given to the seniors of Citymeals-on-Wheels. Azriel cherishes the friendships that have developed with the seniors.
