Young Professionals

Young Professionals mix and mingle at a special pre-party for the annual Chefs' Tribute event. Citymeals-on-Wheels hosts a series of Young Professional events and volunteer outings throughout the year, to give our younger donors the opportunity to meet, network, and have fun, all while furthering their commitment to feed homebound elderly New Yorkers. Officially launched in June of 2009, our YP community continues to grow and attract new members each month. We hope you’ll join us at one of our upcoming gatherings!

Volunteer Outings

On Saturday, January 22, nearly twenty Young Professionals came out to Stanley Issacs meal center to deliver warm meals to homebound elderly neighbors. Afterwards, everyone spent an hour talking and enjoying a delectable brunch at Antonucci.

Sixty-five-year-old Charlottia has lived a full life. Born in Philadelphia, she was raised in Atlantic City by her great aunt while her mother forged a career in New York as a deejay. She fondly remembers those times when"everybody knew everybody — and looked out for everybody."
