Young Professionals

Young Professionals mix and mingle at a special pre-party for the annual Chefs' Tribute event. Citymeals-on-Wheels hosts a series of Young Professional events and volunteer outings throughout the year, to give our younger donors the opportunity to meet, network, and have fun, all while furthering their commitment to feed homebound elderly New Yorkers.  Officially launched in June of 2009, our YP community continues to grow and attract new members each month.  We hope you’ll join us at one of our upcoming gatherings!

Volunteer Outings

Nearly twenty Young Professionals come out on the first Saturday of every month to deliver warm meals to homebound elderly neighbors and enjoy brunch together afterward. For more information or to sign up for future deliveries and events, please email jean@citymeals.org.

The Citymeals-on-Wheels ‘Young Professionals Committee’ comprises a group of young, dynamic professionals, 40 and younger, who are passionate about the organization’s mission to provide weekend, holiday and emergency meals for homebound elderly New Yorkers.  Through events and volunteer activities, the Committee raises money and awareness to help provide food and companionship for 17,000 frail aged throughout New York City.
