In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and fueled by President Barack Obama’s call to service, many volunteers came out to show their spirit of civic duty. Thanks to all those who took part in this historic event.
Earl, 85 years old, grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, in a predominantly white neighborhood. His father was a dentist, and his mother worked in healthcare. They placed a premium on education and enrolled Earl and his sister in parochial school.
