A Casual Sunday Supper with Daniel
For the past ten years, Chef Daniel Boulud has celebrated every major event in the life of his restaurant with a benefit for Citymeals-on-Wheels. On one Sunday evening each spring, Chef Daniel personally hosts this intimate gathering that has become the gourmand event of the season. This year is no exception, with the executive and pastry chefs from Daniel’s family of New York restaurants—DANIEL, Café Boulud, DB Bistro Moderne and the new Bar Boulud—preparing a sumptuous tasting reception follow by an informal dinner as guests kick back in stylish comfort.
The evening will also include a silent auction of rare wines and gourmet items, as well as a live auction featuring our guest chefs for the evening, who will put themselves on the auction block to cook in the winners’ homes. The gala dinner is part of an entire weekend that also includes a special wine lovers’ lunch on Saturday with renowned wine critic Robert Parker. Last year, thanks to the generosity of all those involved, the weekend’s festivities raised over $1 million – enough to provide more than 200,000 meals. This year, expect Chef Daniel to serve up another record-breaking success.
