15th Annual Media Battle of the Bands

Battle of the BandsFebruary 28, 2008
6:00-Midnight
B.B. King Blues Club & Grill
237 West 42nd Street, NYC

BB King Blues Club pulsed to the rock n’ roll beat of five great bands at the 15th Annual Media Battle of the Bands on February 28, 2008.  It was a not-to-miss night with a lineup featuring rock, blues and pop groups comprised of employees from top New York-based cable networks and advertising agencies.  Media executives cut loose from buttoned-up office life to cheer their rock-star-for-a-night colleagues, to mingle and to sample the delicious treats donated by our restaurant friends.

Best of all, the event raised a record-breaking $370,000 - thanks to the generous support of dozens of cable networks and major advertising and media agencies.

Over the years, the Battle of the Bands has become one of the most popular events of the year for the media and television industries. In 1993, its first year, the Battle of the Bands raised $44,000…since then, the event has raised over $3 million to feed New York’s homebound elderly.
