NEW YORK (AP) — Citymeals-on-Wheels is providing emergency food relief for Harlem residents who live in buildings with no gas service.
The organization was delivering 2,100 shelf-stable meals on Wednesday for residents, including the elderly and children. It's been estimated they could be without gas service for up to six weeks. The outage stems from a water main break last Friday.
Citymeals says it expects to do several more deliveries there if the hardship continues.
