Legendary chefs gathered at Rockefeller Center on Monday, June 4, for the 27th Annual Chefs’ Tribute to Citymeals “Knives! Camera! Action! Star Chefs Salute the Silver Screen for the Benefit of Citymeals-on-Wheels.” Chefs prepared mouth-watering dishes inspired by their favorite films—everything from “Jaws” to “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.” The event raised over $826,000 for the preparation and delivery of more than 128,000 nutritious meals, hand-delivered to frail, homebound elderly New Yorkers. Please visit our Facebook page for photos from the evening.
Actor and Citymeals-on-Wheels Board Member Kathleen Turner and actor Michael Douglas, who starred together in “Romancing the Stone” and other films, reunited at this film-themed food fest. Also in attendance were Hoda Kotb and actors Danny Aiello, Stephen Lang, Vincent Pastore and Robert Wuhl among others. Turner served as this year’s emcee.
