Between March 9th and March 22nd, Duane Reade – the iconic New York City drugstore – will ask customers to contribute to Citymeals through their in-store donation program.
Since becoming Mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio has appointed two key advocates for the elderly to help address the concerns of the city’s growing aging population. Former New York City Department for the Aging (DFTA) Commissioner Lilliam Barrios-Paoli was named Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services and Donna Corrado was chosen as the new DFTA Commissioner.
Twenty-five years ago, Citymeals partnered with D’Agostino Supermarkets for our first “Round-Up.” The program began as way to provide New Yorkers the chance to support Citymeals while buying their groceries.
