Message from Executive Director

Winter is the most difficult time of the year for New York’s 18,000 frail elderly. The disabilities associated with old age make them virtual prisoners once the cold air blows in and sidewalks become ice-coated hazards. That is why we need your help now more than ever. When food comes to the door, when someone familiar stops in to say hello and check on how things are going, lonely aged people feel reassured….and well-nourished.

Every $36.00 you send becomes six nutritious meals personally delivered. When you donate $144, you can be sure there is something to eat every weekend of the winter. What an incredible gift that is.

Donate Now and see just how far your dollars go. For 26 years we have used 100% of donations from people like you for food and delivery…not one penny has gone for administration or fundraising. We have separate grants to pay for those expenses.

Our City’s oldest depend on us….and we depend on good neighbors like you. Please do all you can to help us sustain our lifeline of food and human company all winter long.

With best wishes,

Marcia Stein
