Year End Report & Financial Information
Twenty-six years ago, when serving our first meals to 6,000 frail aged on Christmas Day 1981, we could not have imagined preparing and delivering 2.2 million meals to 18,000 homebound elderly New Yorkers as did this year.
100% of all contributions to Citymeals-on-Wheels from the general public are used exclusively for preparation and delivery of meals. Not a penny is used for administrative costs.

Financial Highlights
This first graph below represents how general donations (“restricted funds”) were used on FY08. The second graph shows the the number trend in number of meals funded since 1981. Click on graphs to view larger image.
All funds needed to cover administrative and fundraising expenses are raised separately and specifically for these purposes. The major sources of administrative funds are grants from foundations, corporate sponsors, the City of New York, and Board members of Citymeals-on-Wheels.
